About Manufacture New York

Manufacture New York (MNY)’s mission is to reawaken and rebuild America's fashion industry, foster the next wave of businesses, and create a transparent, sustainable global supply chain.

Founded in 2012, we are transforming the fashion ecosystem (design, development and distribution) and creating a new, vertically integrated business model that serves the fashion industry’s needs of today and the future.

We partner with local real estate developers and governments to create what we call "Manufacturing Innovation Hubs". We have worked tirelessly the past 2 years to build our second location + flagship headquarters, Liberty View Industrial Plaza in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, into a world-class 160,000 sf ecosystem. Our community includes a diverse range of hard working & talented fashion designers, manufacturers and technologists.

We have partnered with The City of New York, the Mayor’s Office and the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) through a $3.5M grant to create the Manufacturing Innovation Center for Apparel, Textiles & Wearable Technology, complete with a 21st century, sector specific workforce training center for apprenticeships, continuing education, internships and on-the-job training with contract manufacturers, developers and designers on site.

The Manufacture Foundation was established in March 2015, and received federal 501(c)3 nonprofit designation in March 2016 to further the subsidized incubation, public education, workforce training and affordable space for manufacturing activities of MNY through non-profit activities with our consortium of public-private partnerships throughout industry, government, academia and the local community.
